We have no shortage of initiatives, projects and programs for which we are looking for partners. Some of the following will be launched as soon as we find partners:
A scholarship program to keep children from dropping out of school on account of failed grades, the inability of their parents to afford school supplies or tuition.
A nurse adoption program focused on recruiting American nurses who support basic earnings for volunteer nurses and teachers.
An “adopt a teacher” program aimed at connecting teachers and healthcare trainers with counterparts in Africa.
An initiative to set up community homework assistance initiatives recognizing that too many parents are themselves uneducated or the products of a failed education system and cannot help their children with homework. This would take the form of a brief extension of the school hours in order to assist struggling students or those who would not get help from their parents or relations doing their homework.
A project to support the socio-emotional well being of children, teachers and health sector workers who have suffered or witnessed violence, have participated in violence or are traumatized by it.
An effort to invest in digital learning as the great equalizer away from the current setting where the limited availability of computers, mobile phone services and the Internet are further deepening the gulf between rich and poor, urban and rural children. This will also expand the capacity of teachers to use technology in to teach remotely.
Workshop series aimed at improving teaching by providing feedback to teachers and helping them improve the classroom experience for students.
A project to accelerate the learning of English given that the teaching of other subjects in English cannot be successful until students master the language of instruction.
An initiative to deepen interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
